We were thrilled to host the first STAC Jobs Showcase at thebeyond in Glasgow, and what an event it was! We had a fantastic turnout of eager attendees looking to explore career opportunities, gain insights into the job market, and dive deeper into the IoT industry.
We kicked the event off with an insightful talk from Gavin Speirs from Solutions Driven, who shared valuable perspectives on the current job market and what to expect in the near future.
Following this, a wide range of employers took the stage to highlight their companies, the work they’re doing, and the exciting roles they have available. Many of these were founders from our very own STAC cohorts, looking to employ more staff as they scale up their companies.
To wrap things up, Greg Jackson & Rory Buchanan from Sonos, Inc. shared their experience of building and growing their Glasgow-based team. This was a brilliant talk to give guests a better understanding of their processes, giving insights on how they scaled their team.
This event was a fabulous opportunity for guests to network with our STAC team, company founders, and with others in the same position – also on the hunt for jobs.
