As part of Glasgow Tech Week, we were thrilled to host another inspiring event at thebeyond, this time providing a glimpse into the Future of Robotics!
Our sold-out Robotics Showcase, in partnership with the National Robotarium, brought together brilliant minds, cutting-edge tech, and a packed room of curious guests as we explored where robotics is heading next – and Scotland’s role in shaping that future.
Exploring the Next Frontier in Robotics
We kicked things off with an introduction from STAC CPO, Gregor Aikman, followed by insights from STAC CEO Paul Wilson and Stewart Miller, CEO of the National Robotarium. Stewart’s presentation on the evolution of humanoid robots sparked exciting conversations about the future. Stewart said: “Scotland’s role in the robotics space right now is very exciting, as both the market and the sector are growing rapidly, and the technology is advancing quickly. It’s a great time to be involved in robotics here, as the infrastructure and ecosystem we’ve built are starting to make a real impact.”
Panel Discussion with Robotics Leaders
Following Stewart’s presentation, we hosted a panel discussion, led by Rhonda Wheate, bringing together Terry Sunny from Halo Robotics, Alexandre Colle from KONPANION, and Stewart Miller. Each of the guests were able to offer real-world perspectives from the frontlines of robotics development. This was a wonderful opportunity for everyone in attendance to learn about the cutting edge of this technology.
The panel was followed by live demos, which, of course, stole the show. From endurance drones to AI companion tech, guests had the thrilling chance to get up close with the products redefining how we interact with machines.
