At STAC, we’re always proud to see our cohort companies making waves, and Seluna is no exception. Their mission is simple yet vital: supporting doctors in remotely diagnosing and monitoring paediatric sleep and respiratory disorders—an area where innovation is desperately needed.
As one of the winners of the Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award, Seluna’s Co-Founder and CTO, Dr. Yola Jones, was recently invited to 10 Downing Street for an AI Reception hosted by Keir Starmer. In a standout moment, the Prime Minister himself gave Yola a shout-out in his speech, recognising her ground-breaking work in paediatric healthcare.
It’s encouraging to see the UK government acknowledging the urgent need for innovation in children’s healthcare—an often-overlooked area. At Seluna, Yola and her team are driving a paediatrics-first approach, ensuring that young patients benefit from the latest advancements in AI-driven diagnosis and monitoring.
Yola had the opportunity to speak directly with the PM and was invited to share her insights with the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology regarding the recent AI Action Plan.
Seluna’s work is making a real impact, and we’re excited to see what’s next as they continue to push the boundaries of paediatric healthcare innovation.
Well Done Yola!
